About us

An ever-changing sea view

Even on a wet wild day, the mesmerising view will blow your socks off, so best bring a spare pair. It’s forever fascinating, be it calm and peaceful, or wild and wicked — it changes from minute to minute.

If you’re lucky, you’ll hear the Time and Tide bell, an artistic installation part of twelve bells around the UK rung by the sea at high tide. On a clear day you can see the Isle of Man and dolphin and porpoise pods are spotted frequently.

As the setting sun lowers itself directly into the centre of the bay during the summer months, there’s nothing better at the end of the day than to sit outside with a glass of wine and enjoy the sunset.

Thirty minutes from the bridges and Holyhead ferry

As the most northerly village in Wales, you’ll witness incredible sunsets straight into the sea, along with occasional sightings of the Northern Lights. Cemaes is an ideal base to explore the quieter rural side of Anglesey, offering beautiful surrounding coast and countryside and is only half an hour from the bridges and ferry port.

It’s the perfect location for walkers of the Coastal Path, if you’re looking for spectacular places to stay on Anglesey and for the ferry.

So much more than a Full Welsh

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, which is why we provide so many alternatives alongside our superior Full Welsh.

Expect herby mushrooms, smoked salmon and scrambled egg and hearty vegetarian options served in the elegantly decorated dining room with outstanding views of the bay.

Generous portions come as standard: after all, you need as much energy as possible for attacking the Coastal Path or other famous Anglesey activities.

Grown Ups Only

Because we’re Grown Ups Only, you’re guaranteed a more peaceful, relaxing stay. As much as we love children, we only accept adults over the age of 16.

Things to do Locally

Cemaes, the most northerly village in Wales gives you an ideal base to explore the quieter rural side of Anglesey, offering beautiful surrounding coast and countryside.

There’s the famous Anglesey Coastal Path, golf courses, and dozens of beautiful beaches surrounding the island. Discover Copper Kingdom in nearby Amlwch, or travel further afield into Snowdonia for mountain walks, ZipWorld and the Welsh Mountain Railway.

The ever popular Bay View Restaurant at Gladys Hotel is within a 5-minute walk and there’s an award-winning chip shop in Cemaes itself.

Anglesey is ‘one big adventure playground’ so you’ll definitely be ready to fall into one of our big plump beds after a day exploring.

The best room in the house
